To bulk-download images in Chrome, choose Images in Simple Mass Downloader and scan the page. In the Dashboard, open the Images category and Gallery, filter out small images, and select the pictures you want. Then choose a save mode and click Start download. You do not need to save every icon and thumbnail along with your reference images.
Simple Mass Downloader provides an image gallery, resource table and filters for that selection work. It saves available files; it does not upscale images, invent missing detail or convert every format into JPEG.
Load the images you want to collect
Open the page and make the relevant gallery or product section visible. Modern pages often load images only as you scroll. An initial scan cannot collect a file that has not been exposed to the page yet.
You can try two original sample images before working with your own page. For a live gallery, load more content on the source page and rescan when you need a fresh list.
Open a larger preview on the source website if that is how the site reveals a higher-resolution image. Not every interaction exposes a reusable file address, and closed or restricted page structures can remain inaccessible.
Scan images and review the gallery
Choose Images in the extension and click Scan this page. In the Dashboard, choose the Images category to reveal Gallery. Use the table to inspect URLs, link text, and extensions.
Start by setting a minimum width and height. For example, a 600-by-600 minimum can help remove small square icons from a collection intended for large reference images. That is an example threshold, not a universal recommendation: a useful wide banner may have less than 600 pixels of height.
Try a smaller threshold if legitimate images disappear. Combine dimensions with a keyword or domain filter when the site includes third-party graphics.
Select available originals with realistic expectations
Sites commonly expose multiple image candidates through responsive images, lazy-loading attributes or links to larger files. The extension uses available candidates and selected site-specific rules to look for suitable larger versions.
An accessible original is not guaranteed. A page may expose only a thumbnail, require a temporary token for the original, or restrict it to an authenticated viewer. A larger filename or URL does not prove that the server will deliver more pixels.
Inspect dimensions and test a sample file. If the original is not exposed, changing the filename extension cannot create it. Downloading a WebP or AVIF file also does not automatically convert it to PNG.
Keep the selection intentional
The gallery has a preview limit, while batch selection can include matching resources beyond the thumbnails currently shown. Read the selected count instead of assuming you selected only what is visible.
Repeated URLs are combined within this scan; different URLs can still point to the same image. Each scan opens separate results. Scan all tabs or Scan tabs to the Right intentionally combines only the tabs in that operation.
For product photography or licensed references, review ownership and usage rights separately. Being able to download an image does not grant the right to republish it.
Name and save a manageable batch
A preset such as number plus original name makes a batch easier to sort. For several source sites, a template like {host}-{ccc}-{name}.{ext} preserves context. Check the generated preview before starting.
Choose standard downloads for individual files or larger collections. ZIP keeps a manageable selection together. The Choose a folder option saves directly to a directory you authorize. It works with free credits; keep the Dashboard open until saving finishes.
Large image batches can consume substantial browser memory during ZIP creation. If the extension recommends another save mode, split the collection or use standard downloads. A theoretical size limit is not a guarantee that every device can finish a batch.
Troubleshoot the missing image, not the entire page
When an image is missing, check whether it loaded, whether a filter excluded it and whether its source is accessible. For a failed download, open the direct URL normally and look for a login requirement or expired link.
If the page does not expose a direct image, try opening the image's source page or a larger preview and scan again. The normal scan collects file resources, not canvas screenshots.
