To download files from several Chrome tabs, choose a resource type in Simple Mass Downloader, then click Scan all tabs or Scan tabs to the Right. The extension collects accessible resources from that scope into one Dashboard. Filter the combined list, select what you need, and click Start download.
This is different from running unrelated scans one after another. A normal new scan has its own results. To combine chosen pages intentionally, start with multi-tab scanning.
Prepare the pages before scanning
Open the pages you need and check that their useful content has loaded. A tab showing a sign-in screen or a loading placeholder will not necessarily expose the desired resource links.
For a visual gallery, load the relevant section or open the larger images on the source page first. For documents, check whether the tab contains direct file links or only links to another set of pages.
You do not need to include every open tab. A narrower scope makes it easier to review the result and avoids collecting unrelated assets from personal or work pages.
Choose the scope that matches the job
Scan all tabs in your current window or only tabs to the right. Each scan opens its own results.
Place the pages you want after your current tab, then choose Scan tabs to the Right. To include all accessible tabs in the current window, choose Scan all tabs. Both buttons sit below Scan this page and use your selected resource type.
For images opened directly in separate tabs, choose Images and try the same multi-tab scan. Check that each tab has loaded an actual image rather than a viewer or login screen. For product detail pages, open any larger image previews first if that is how the website exposes the files. Test two tabs before collecting a larger group.
For a mixed document set, collect the relevant resources and apply extension filters afterward. Scan all tabs means accessible tabs in the current window, not every window on your computer.
Review the combined collection
Check the sources as well as the filenames. The same filename may appear on multiple domains, and one domain may host assets used by several pages.
Normalized URL deduplication can reduce repeated addresses, but it does not compare file contents. Two differently addressed copies of the same PDF can remain in the collection.
Use category, extension, keyword or domain filters to refine the batch. For images, dimensions help remove repeated small interface assets. Read the selected count before downloading; it is more reliable than counting visible rows or thumbnails.
A naming rule with source information can make the resulting collection easier to navigate. The naming guide explains previews and folder rules.
Understand unavailable tabs
Chrome can restrict scanning on browser-internal pages, extension-store pages and other protected contexts. Tabs may also be unavailable because the page has not loaded, the extension lacks access or a frame is restricted.
The extension reports unavailable pages. Treat those reports as information about the scope, not proof that the entire operation failed. Inspect the successfully collected sources separately.
A page that loads content only after an interaction may need that interaction performed before scanning. Multi-tab collection does not run every possible button or reveal all hidden endpoints.
Review first, then download
After scanning, the Dashboard opens with the combined results. Choose your files and click Start download when ready; scanning does not start downloads automatically.
Your source tabs stay open, so you can check a document, load more content, or refresh a link before trying again.
Distinguish tabs, Find files in pages and URL lists
Multi-tab scanning works with pages you already have open. Find files in pages looks one level deeper through selected links with a type or search condition. Neither is an unlimited recursive crawl or a complete offline website mirror.
If you already have direct file addresses, a TXT or CSV URL list is often simpler than opening many tabs. If the task is a set of linked reports, follow the PDF guide for detail-page handling.
Start with two source tabs and a few selected files. Once you have confirmed the scope and destination, reuse the process for a larger collection.
