Use Scan this page when your files are linked from one page, Scan all tabs or Scan tabs to the Right for several open pages, and Paste links when you already have the file URLs. Simple Mass Downloader brings the results into one Dashboard so you can filter, select and save your batch.
Start with your source, then choose the result you need: separate files, a reading pack in one ZIP, or an organized project folder. A small test batch helps you check the workflow before downloading a larger collection.
Start with the files you actually need
Write down a simple rule for the batch. For a research project, that might be the PDFs linked from a reading list. For a design brief, it might be images above a useful dimension rather than every icon on the page.
Open one expected file normally before scanning. Confirm that it is a usable resource and that you have permission to download it. A link to an article or a document viewer is not always a direct file address.
Match collection to your source
Use a current-page scan when the resources are on one page. If only part of that page is relevant, a selected-content workflow can reduce unrelated results. Choose the resource type, then click Scan; choosing a type alone does not begin collection.
Use multiple tabs for a set of pages you have already opened. If you already have the file addresses, a URL list avoids rediscovering them from page content. Check the imported list before starting a large transfer. None of these choices is a promise to crawl an entire website.

Make the first batch deliberately small
Select two or three representative files. Include a larger file or an unusual file type if either matters to the project. Check filenames, content and destination after saving.
Filtering and selecting are separate steps. A result being visible does not mean it is selected for download. Conversely, do not assume that every collected resource belongs in the final set. Use the small test to adjust filters and naming rules before processing the rest.
Choose the destination for the next task
Individual Chrome downloads suit files you want to open or organize separately. ZIP packaging suits a collection you want to move or share together, within the supported ZIP limits. The Choose a folder option saves directly to a directory you authorize. It works with free credits; keep the Dashboard open until saving finishes.
Keep Chrome running for transfers. Standard downloads and ZIP tasks can continue after the Dashboard closes; direct-folder saving requires the Dashboard to remain open. Use the save-method guide when file size or background behavior affects your choice.
Check capacity before repeating the workflow
The free starting allowance is 300 credits, not a daily reset. Successful resource items consume credits, including the files inside a ZIP. Check your balance and the current plan details when planning repeated work.
A positive starting balance lets a batch proceed without stopping for quota midway, but technical limits and access restrictions still apply. If your balance reaches zero, sign in or upgrade before the next batch. Test a realistic group instead of assuming every scan or file transfer will succeed.
Verify the result before moving on
Compare the selected list with the saved files. Open a sample document or image to check its contents, and inspect any failed items before retrying them. A filename ending in PDF is not proof that the server returned a PDF rather than a login page.
Keep a simple record of the source and the files you still need. Do not assume the extension maintains a permanent library of previous scans. If something goes wrong, use the troubleshooting checklist to identify whether the problem is collection, selection or saving.
